(Manager) Neath Youth, Morriston Town POSITION - Manager ATTRIBUTES - Dai joined Ynystawe last year from local rivals and former Welsh League outfit Morriston Town. He's brought a much needed professionalism to the club both on and off the pitch. With his ample experience of higher level of football, it can only be a good thing for the club. All the players benefitted from the advanced training session and it showed in our performances and fitness levels. Dai has huge ambitions for the club and is striving to get this club where it belongs, in the 1st division plying its trade against the likes of Winchwen and Ragged School. Dai had a very successful first season with Ynystawe, especially in the cups. Winning the Valley Cup and reaching the Quarter Finals of the West Wales for only the 2nd time in the clubs history. |

MIKE PARR NICKNAME - Mikey, Jade Goody PREVIOUS CLUB - POSITION - Goalkeeper Coach ATTRIBUTES - Mike also joined Ynystawe last season and has been a great asset, both on and off the pitch. Mike has been primarily welcomed by the keepers at the club. They now gain a high quality level of goalkeeper coaching that is required to keep them on top of their game. Mike is dedicated to helping where ever help is needed in training or pre/post match. a great addition to the clubs backroom staff. |

MICHAEL WHAPHAM NICKNAME - Whaps PREVIOUS CLUBS - Garden Village, Ystradgunlais, Port Talbot, Farmers, Brynawel POSTION - Centre Forward ATTRIBUTES - Michael is a big powerful old fashioned centre forward who's good both in the air and with the ball at his feet. He's spent many years in Welsh league playing for a number of clubs. He's had a few clubs at Swansea League level also, ranging from 1st division down to 3rd division, always scoring goals where ever he has played. He origianlly started off as a centre midfield player but has switch to a more attacking role which any team benefits from when he plays. A problem for any defender. A very succesful season personally for him after becoming Club captain, 1st team Top Goal Scorer aswell as joint overall clubs Top Goal Scorer. |

DAVID LEES NICKNAME - Scottish Dai PREVIOUS CLUBS - Motherwell Boys Club, Hamilton, Bellshill POSTION - Centre Back ATTRIBUTES - After ariving in Swansea in 2001, Dai has been a regular fixture in the Ynystawe 1st Team squad. over the more recent years Dai has cemented his starting postion in the heart of the defence, creating solid partnerships with both Paul Thomas and Liam Aldron. His great awareness, positioning and on the ball ability shine through as his main assessts. Dai played at a very high standard in Scotland and has made the switch with ease and im sure Ynystawe will reap the benefits of his experience for many years to come. |

ASHLEY COOMBS NICKNAMES - Coombzy, Marlon PREVIOUS CLUBS - Morriston Olympic, Morriston Town POSITIONS - Left/Right Wing Back, Left/Right Midfield, Centre Midfield, Centre Forward ATTRIBUTES - Ashley spent many years at Ynystawe before plying his trade at 1st Division outfit and local rivals, Morriston Olympic after that he made the switch to Welsh League with Morriston Town. After two years of Welsh League experience he's now back to where he first started his footballing career. Hes a very quick skillful player who is very versatile in his play and in positions he can play in,. He definitely isn't afraid of a tackle either and is the 1st team's dead ball specialist, with accurate crosses coming from the left and right hand sides. Playing most of last season from a wide position his goal return was staggering. Last season was personally excellent, picking up the 1st Team Player Of The Year award. |

MATTHEW HOPKINS NICKNAME - Wally, Hoppy PREVIOUS CLUBS - Trallwn, St Josephs, Morriston Town POSITION - Goalkeeper ATTRIBUTES - Matthew, not being the tallest of goalkeepers, more than makes up for it with his ability on 1-on-1 situations and colecting crosses. Over the last couple of seasons Matthew played at Welsh League standard, while playing for local rivals Morriston Town. He has claimed and retained the No1 jersey and kept a number of good goalkeepers out of the 1st team. He will be under pressure this season tho from new recruit Jamie Radford. Those who have watched and played with Matthew over the last few seasons can see a vast improvement all round game but especially his kicking ability. |

MARK WEBBER NICKNAME - Webbers PREVIOUS CLUBS -Morriston Olympic, Morriston Town POSITION - Left/Right Full Back, Left/Right Midfield ATTRIBUTES - Mark is a very skillful, quick player who has become quite versatile in his play. He also joined form local rivals Morriston Town. Mark spent most of last season in and out of the 1st team, but when called upon did a great job. He is capable of the spectacular and flambouant. Mark's season was unfortunately cut short last year due to a serious ankle ligament injury. Mark will be looking to make up for lost time this time around. |

JAMES CULLEN NICKNAME - Cullen, Dullen PREVIOUS CLUBS - None POSITION - Left back ATTRIBUTES - James has the ability to be and extremely affective full back. He has a sweet left foot and is a strong tackler. Always willing to get forward and support the attackers. He's made a very strong partnership with Ashley Coombs down the left hand side last season. With the right guidance and coaching, the ability is there to make James change from a good full back to a great full back. |

DANIEL CLARKSON NICKNAME - Clarko PREVIOUS CLUBS - Treboeth POSITION - Centre Midfield ATTRIBUTES - Over the past few years Daniel has become a regular name in the 1st Team squad. He spent most of last season back and forth the 2nd Team. Once promoted to the starting line-up always left an impression on the manager. Works tirelessly in the middle of the park and is a strong tackler. Has the ability to pick a killer pass out and is also capable of the spectacular. Last seasons 2nd team captain. Performed excellent in last seasons Valley Cup Final. |

CHRISTIAN WEBBER NICKNAME - Webbero PREVIOUS CLUBS - POSITION - Right Back, Centre Back ATTRIBUTES - Christian fianlly broke through into the 1st Team towards the end of last season after most of his senior career in the reserves. Extremely good in the air, very apt with the ball at his feet and very quick across the ground. Last season for Christian personally was a very succesfull one, after thoroughly deserving the 2nd team Player Of The Year award. |

ANDREW THOMAS NICKNAME - Peters PREVIOUS CLUBS - None POSITION - Centre Forward, Right Midfield ATTRIBUTES - Andrew has been a regular in the 2nd Team for the last couple of seasons. After finishing youth football he took a few years out. Andrew is fit, fast and has the ability to take on any defender. He scored plenty of goals in the 2nd Team and there is lost of talk at what kind of impression he'll make at 1st level. His season was patchy due injuries. Andrew broke into the 1st Team towards the end of last season, and is now in contention to keep his place at the beginning of this season. |

RICHARD BOLSCH NICKNAME - Bolschy, Shergar PREVIOUS CLUBS - None POSITION - Centre Midfield ATTRIBUTES - Richard is a extremely talented midfielder, who can create and score goals against any oppostion. He has the ability to dribble through any defences and is deceptively fit. Richard has spent most of his footballing career with Ynystawe, after taking a couple of seasons out he decided to return. Missed all last season due to a serious achilles injury. A great addition to the squad for the coming season. |

LIAM ALDRON NICKNAME - PREVIOUS CLUBS - North End POSITION - Centre Back ATTRIBUTES - Liam has recently joined the club from Division 2 side North End. Due to Paul Thomas' early injury last season, Liam made the step into the 1st team with great ease. He is a quiet lad both on and off the pitch but makes up for it with talent in the air and his tackling ability. Last season he made a very strong partnership with Dai Lees. Everyone is looking forward to see him grow into a strong, mature centre back. Definitely one for the future. |

MARC TEESDALE NICKNAME - Tees PREVIOUS CLUBS - POSITION - Centre Forward ATTIRBUTES - Mark joined the club last year and made an immediate impact by scoring plenty of goals in the 2nd team and making a handful of 1st team appearances. Mark as the ability of when he gets a chance he takes them with great effect. Good team player and brings other players into the game coming from midfield. A good addition to the club |

He is a regular in our 2nd team, works tirelessly to get possesion back for the team and uses the ball with great effect. He has made a handful of 1st team substitute appearances. His continuous hard work in training doesnt go unnoticed. Always looking to improve in all areas of his game Cary will be looking this season to be pushing to for a place in the 1st team. |

He has great ability at running at defenders. Scores plenty of goals at reserve level and has also scored a few at 1st team level. last season was personally an excellent one for Tom as he picked up 2nd team Top Goal Scorer aswell as joint overall clubs Top Goal Scorer. JAMES HANNEY NICKNAME - Hanney, Fanny PREVIOUS CLUB - Morriston Olympic POSITION - Right Back, Centre Back ATTRIBUTES - Due to a number of unsuccesful seasons with local rivals Morriston Olympic, James has signed and is looking for silverware. He is a very adaptable player who can play either as a authodox right back or a very solid centre back. He has the quickness and agility to keep up with any attacking player that he might come up against and is also very handy when going forward. Great both in the tackle and in the James is very well equiped with his feet. Very good from set plays. A great signing for the club. |

JONATHON WALTERS NICKNAME - Walters, Beany PREVIOUS CLUBS - Llangyfelach POSITION - Right/Left Midfield ATTRIBUTES - After several season out with a number of injuries jonathon is regaining fitness to try and rekindle his football career. Having two very good feet and being able to take on defenders he is a great assest to any team. When back to full match fitness I have no doubt that jonathon will be pushing for a 1st team spot. He is a great crosser of the ball and also knows where the goal is, which is always needed from a wide player. A good addition to the club. |

He is a very quick skillful winger who has a rifle for a left foot. Has the ability to set any game alight with dazzling runs and spectacular goals. with the ability to play in field or up top makes him indespensable to any team. It shows the way in which the club is moving when signing a player of Pauls caliber. |

ASHLEY DENNIS NICKNAME - Dennis PREVIOUS CLUB - Morriston Town, Morriston Olympic, Corus POSITION - Centre Forward, Centre Midfield ATTRIBUTES - Ashley is another of our new recruits, aslo signing from Morriston Olympic. Ashley has played at many levels of the game including a couple of seasons in Welsh League and a short stint in the Welsh Amateur League. A very talented footballer who is adaptable to any given game and any given situation. Hopefully a very promising season ahead. |

ANDREW SHAW NICKNAME - Shawzy, Pledge POSITION - Right Back, Right Midfield PREVIOUS CLUBS - Morriston Olympic, Morriston Town, Llansawel ATTRIBUTES - Andrew is a very quick and athletic player who is very flexible about where and how he plays is football. Andrew recently joined from local rivals Morriston Olympic. Having plied his trade at Welsh League level Andrew wants to start enjoying his footabll again. Reading the game so well is one of his main attributes along with his ability to run at defenders and creating chances for his fellow team mates. Im sure Andrew will be a great assett to the club. |
